Blame it on the music...

I find Scandinavian music is floating all over, like the rest Scandi-Cool trend...
Being a former dancer I must admit music has a big influence on my daily life...

I will share some of my Scandi-tunes-favorites here and hopefully introduce you to some new tunes as well !!
Hope you enjoy this listing and if not...blame it on the music!!

Who is Quadron

Debut album 'Quadron', as the duo appeared in 2009, was received with great enthusiasm in Denmark as well as in the U.S. where the singles' Slippin 'and' Pressure 'found its way into TV shows like' Grey's Anatomy 'and the Oscar-nominated film' The Kids Are Alright '.

Big names such as Adele, Quest Love and himself Prince has also joined the ranks of admirers.

Who is MØ

24-year-old MØ -, real name Karen Marie Ørsted - is originally from Odense and roamed for several years underground as part of the anarchist girl electro-punk band Mother. When they began experimenting with beats, she took the excess productions and played on with them on their own. It all took extra speed when she was booked to play at Spot Festival 2012, where she met producer Ronnie Vindahl (Boom Clap Bachelors and others) who helped to shape the expression. During the autumn created MØ a lot of attention with the song "Pilgrim" in the British newspaper The Guardian and the U.S. music site Pitchfork.

Strike a Scandi-Cool pose...

Have you notice how designers have taken Scandi-Cool waves on the runway for this Spring Summer 2013? !!
I can't help to love, one by one, designers give in to this perfect clean clever signature long lasting look...

Here are collections bringing some of my favorite looks although it's hard to choose from the bunch!

Spot the Scandi-Cool trend:

1. Simple shapes
2. Block colors, Black and White primary
3. Volume in sizes
4. Solid/natural fabrics

Hermés Spring 2013

Christophe Lemaire Spring 2013 collection for Hermes; very modern/minimal design  reminds me of why I LOVE the look! The short finger-less and thumb-less gloves came in a mix of colors, in plain and rigid leather. He styled the gloves with almost every look, for a modern masculine/feminine collection, and the gloves added brings a hard edge.
As far as I'm concerned this is a winner.

JIL SANDER Spring 2013

Jil Sander herself is back and shows her signature look in a very strong Spring collection, welcome back!
Overall the looks were sophisticated, smart and minimalist. The palette stuck to a tame mix of navy, oxblood, black, and white, which allowed for Sander’s tailoring skills to really shine through.

GIVENCHY Spring 2013

Inspiration : ”I looked to the Sixties and the archives of the house for the shapes – the super hard and the super soft. And then one of my obsessions, Carlo Mino, for furniture details and then put all of these elements together,”

Chloé Spring 2013

LOVE LOVE LOVE this collection!!!!!
Simple as that, oversize details, clean lines and feminine look...

Balenciaga Spring 2013
For more info www.balenciaga.com

It's not with every collection that sex appeal and extreme craftsmanship go hand in hand, but then again Nicolas Ghesquiere isn't every designer. His Spring 2013 collection for
Balenciaga was filled with clothes that looked light, almost airy, and easy to wear — despite the massive amounts of thought, research, construction, and finishing that went into every piece....

Enjoy shopping!!!!
